Originally from New York City, I came to Hong Kong in 2011 to pursue my MBA at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; that same year I joined the HKUST MBA Alumni Associations dragon boat team – and so the paddling journey began.

In 2017, I wanted to take my passion for paddling to another level – Buzz Dragon was at the top of the list. When joining Buzz, I was originally drawn by the competition; but the team opened a door to a community and culture that is utterly unique. The diversity of Buzz and the strong bonds we have with the local Fishermen Societies that make up the backbone Hong Kong dragon boat make Buzz one of a kind in Hong Kong’s sporting scene.

Since 2022, I have been part of the coaching team for Buzz. Through the work on and off the boat, it is great to be coaching Buzz to continue to develop as a competitive club at international, local, and invitational fishermen society races.

Outside of the fast-paced sprinting that is dragon boat, I am also an avid outrigger canoe paddler competing across OC6 and OC1 races here in Hong Kong and abroad.
