Buzz,
CAPTAINS’ CORNER
Buzz!
The weekend just gone showed the teams around us exactly what we are about. Learning from our mistakes, working with what we've got, making the next time even better than the last and then being great sports and hanging out with the opposition.
The weather was not on our side and situational circumstances made our lives difficult but we did not let that dampen our fire.
Ladies, that second heat was phenomenal and what was most important was not letting anything phase us from doing what we know how to do best. Bring on DB and Internationals, Lady Buzz! 💁🏻♀🐲💪🏼
Moving on to this weekend, Chai Wan is one of the biggest races each year. There will 50-man boats to get our hearts racing and the Mixed category is the most competitive that we will face. All the best fishy and non-fishy crews will be out flexing, so we need every single person to bring their A game from the off.
The rest of this week, look after yourselves, take it easy if you need, avoid anything that will make you sick or injured. We all want that silverware, so switch on.
Bring it, Buzz! 🐲💪🏼

MERC FOR SHUM WOO
Our good friends Shum Woo need at least 5 pairs of paddlers to merc for them this Monday.
You’d meet at Shum Woo clubhouse at 8:45am, and be dropped off again at 4pm at the same location. You’d spend the day on their boat. Optionally you can stay on and paddle around the shelter to visit Shum Woo’s sponsors when they get back in the afternoon.
When: 3 June (Monday), 8:45am to 4pm
Only need a paddle – drink/food provided by Shum Woo. This kind of thing is great fun if you can get off work to go, highly recommended!
Please sign-up on TeamApp if you can make it.
CONGRATS TO OLI AND CHARMAINE
Congrats to Oli and Charmaine on their wedding!!
SHUM WOO DINNER
Shum Woo are having their annual dinner on Monday 17 June, right after Internationals.
We’d love to get a good number of people there to show our appreciation for all they do for us: providing a clubhouse to train from, giving us the opportunity to race in their 50-man boat, shouting us a free dinner after Tuen Ng, and just generally being great friends of the club!
When: 17 June (Mon) 7pm till late
Where: Aberdeen Fu Lum
Cost: $300 per person
