I’m Hannah, the social media manager of Buzz. I started paddling four years ago in Canada with my university team and joined the Pickering Dragon Boat Club to take my passion to the next level. As someone who never weight lifted three years ago and is now a world championships medalist, dragon boat is by far my favourite sport as it requires more consistency than talent. If you put in the work, results will come.

Being introduced to Buzz at a job interview when I moved back to Hong Kong was not on my 2023 bingo card, but Buzz has made me thrive. Through the team, I’ve met the friendliest people from diverse backgrounds, made lifelong friendships, and enjoyed stroking at races. I love the unique balance between competitiveness, community, and culture of our team; racing against top-notch teams, in our own teak boat, and being invited to local fishermen dinners, etc. These are all the things that even most HK locals don’t get to experience, and is why you should give our team a try!

When I’m not paddling, I feast - currently holding the lady’s record of 44 chicken wings on Buzz. Come join us and try break my record ;)
